After reading some posts on some of the threads here on Esato I figured I wasnt the only one with m600i problems. However I'm getting some strange problems with my phone today since I just got to use it today when it came in. For one it tends to freeze after a few minutes of being on. It won't respond to any buttons leaving me to take out the battery and try to get it to turn on again. However sometimes it takes me 20 tries just to get it on again after taking the battery out. I would put the battery back in and press the power button only for the phone to vibrate for a sec and thats it, screen doesnt light up nor does the keypad. After like 20 tries it turns on. Sometimes even freezing on the SE splash screen.

I did update the firmware as mentioned and it went fine, however the phone still acts up. I was wondering if this is the same for everyone else or does it look like I may have a faulty unit?

Don't be surprised, SE is the king of bugs. Learn the history of K700,K750,W800,W810,W900 at their initial release..bugs..bugs..bugs..and bugs..

@puerrican85

Strange as I flashed my phone and I have had it for 3 days without any need to re-start. Please check the following:

- switch off the on-screen hand writting recognition
- make sure you are using a 3G SIM
- try to reformat the M2 card (copy any data of first!)
- uninstall any third-party apps
- don't use the Golf game or the web browser

If the above don't make any difference I can only suggest you flash again as it sould like you ROM or RAM has become corrupted

I'm actually using a regular gsm sim card at the moment with it, (Tmobile USA) But at the moment no sim card is installed in it and having trouble starting it up. I might try flashing the firmware once more today and reformat the card as well.

I have to pull the battery to unfreeze mine all the time. I'm using a Cingular 3G sim. I usually happens after downloading some e-mail messages from an smtp server. This is with the R1B01 firmware which I believe is the latest one.

I get a problem with messaging too. I think because I have it set up on interval retrieval, after about half a day of use, the messaging button freezes and I can't get into the messaging. I have to shut it down and restart. This is the only bug that is driving me insane.

Well its not like it's a coincidence that they called the stock back for a firmware update... I'd consider the m600's out there leaked betas :)
