Hi,
I have successfully used my T68 Infrared Modem to run Internet Explorer on the IPAQ 3630 (Not Pocket PC 2002), but it is at the wonderfully slow speed on 9600.
Things would be much better if I can use the GPRS connection. I can happily use the GPRS to read WAP sites.
Can anyone tell me what I have to set or do to use GPRS or is it possible. (I am using the dial-up connection to my own Company's internet link.)

I have just bought a T68 and spoke to a very nice man at Vodafone about how to set up GPRS connections. He eMailed me a very well put together MSWord document on how to do it, unfortuneately it is downloaded at work.
If you do not get sorted by Sunday night, mail me and I will forward it to you monday eve.
Regards,
Paul.

Hi Pehi,
Did you get it to work with T68 as a DATA MODEM and not as a GPRS modem?
I can get my T68 and iPaq 3870 to work via Bluetooth (BT) and GPRS. But I try to set it up as a data modem, the T68 will just dial the number and then stop.
BUT... if I entered the number manually (press the key, then YES), the phone connects to the ISP and I can hear the modem "talks", u know, that screeching, funky tone sound.
Do let me know.

Ulukai,
I didn't do anything much. For my T68, I just set the Infrared port to ON.
On the IPAQ, I set up a new connection for my dial-up service (which is actually directly throug my workplace). Initially, it would dial-up, but fail the authentication. The main fix to that was to remove the Domain name, as I found that it wasn't needed.
Generally, I have found that using the Infrared, I can connect to my IPAQ and my laptop (Windows 95) without any problem. On the IPAQ, I just used it for a SIM card manager. On the laptop, I set it up to act as a modem, and it worked first time.
My problem is trying to use it as a GRPS connection so that I'm paying by download not time.

lanwarrior,
Your post suggests that you have connected using GPRS. I can do that for using WAP on the phone, but when you use it on the IPAQ, can you actually use Internet Explorer for full web access? If you do, can you tell me how you run the phone to do it. Or the connection that you set up in the IPAQ. I expect that the Infrared does exactly what the Bluetooth would do, in that it provides a means of interfacing, so that should not be different.
