hi i have just got a mda vario on k-jam firmware and i am using it on vodafone however i have no idea how to put the settings in or indeed even what the settings are. i have tried the vodafone website(useless) and have searched on here to no avail. when i go to the start menu----->settings------->connections--------->GPRS setting the only options i have are PAP authenification or CHAP authentification and thats it. Please can someone help as i cant enjoy surfing or checking e-mails on my vario untill this is done.

my i-mate k-jam came with loads of different operator settings in the extended ROM and when you do a hard reset you get to choose which you want to use at that time.
I can possibly extract the CAB file from the extended rom tonight if you're still stuck so just let me know if you are you on pay monthly or prepaid?

thanks masseur that would be great but i have another problem then. i bought this phone off luke the magic man and as i was aware at the time it didnt have active sync software with it. i however went onto the microsoft website and downloaded active sync v3.8 and when trying this with my vario it says error active sync 4.1 required but i dont know how to get this and i thinks its a bit weird that the microsoft site dont have the most up to date version of there own software. do you or anyone else out there have this software that they could send me. Tjhanks
p.s. its voda contract. and if you are to busy to help then dont put yourself out as i have e-mailed vodafone help but wether or not they will reply is another matter

here is the cab file that is on the k-jam extended rom and is what is used if you choose vodafone UK contract as your carrier during hard reset.
copy this to your k-jam, find it on your k-jam using file explorer and click it and it should install all the settings for internet, wap and mms
