Im connecting to internet on my laptop via my w810i's EDGE, im using the cable provided as connection between my laptop ang phone. Now whenever I leave my internet connection on, downloading something, my phone losses battery power, I thought my laptop still charge it while connected via USB. But it seems the EDGE is using more power than the USB ports charge rate on my laptop.
as i looked into MyPhoneExplorer, the charging voltage is 4.10v and the chraging current is 500 mA. is there any thing that i can do to prevent my phone from lossing power while using its edge?
right now my only choice is bluetooth, so my phone can remain charging using wall charging, which i think charge rate is enough to keep my phone 100% charge.
do you think getting that usb hub with its own adaptor can provide enough charge rate on my phone?

I guess the question now is whether those readings are correct. I know that some devices, when plugged into a USB port on the computer, don't receive the power they should due to either underpowered or not powered USB ports.
You could try the bluetooth method or try the EDGE connection on a different computer and see if the same problem happens.
Are you running a P2P program or something else like DC++ when your phone powers down? I'm just wondering how much you're downloading when the W810 suffers battery drain.
You *might* also look into a more powerful battery for the W810 - If they exist and there's no guarantee the USB cable will send more amperage to a better battery so that you get longer life.
