Really not happy with Orange so i want to cancel my contract.

Does anyone know when you cancel do you pay vat on the Cancellation charge? i know some networks don't charge you the vat.

Just rang them but that dept isn't open until monday and the lady i spoke to didn't know if they charge the vat.

Useless company and whats with keep sticking bundles on my account without my say so??

Vat would have to be paid on the termination fee's if you are looking at leaving orange.

I am actually happy with orange at the moment though, since they disconnected one of my numbers, accidently, when they should have disconnected the one which i actually did request. Since they disconnected the wrong number, i was recieving cashback from a company for that number. They were unable to place be back onto the tariff i was with when they re-connected me. I explained to them, i had to be on the old tariff so i can claim my cash back, totalling £147. They decided to credit my account with £147, for the mistake they made, since i wouldn't be able to claim cash back from the place i got my phone. So i am happy with them lol.

Hi you can buy yourself out of your orange contract at any time, by paying your monthly line rental times however many months you have remaining on the contract this is already inclusive of vat, and no other charges will be incurred.

Example: you pay £15 per month line rental and have 5 months left so you would only have to pay £75

BTW orange sometimes do free promotions and may at times add them to your account usually at the start of a new contract or on your request, therefore you would have to cancel them once the free offer period expires or you will start to get charged.

If you have never asked for a specific item to be added to your account then you should not be charged for it, contact the orange retentions department.

Hope this helps.

I changed over to Orange a couple of months ago after having a very serious falling out with O2 and hand on my heart, I can say that Orange are brilliant. They call you back, they are very professional, very knowledgeable and excellent signal strength!!! The only downside is the extensive branding on their phones and they do work out pretty expensive. I am a beleiver of you get what you pay for though!!! O2 is cheap but that reflects in their level of service.

The only problem that I have ever had with Orange is the sales staff in the shops.
