Has anyone tried using the Matchcast Java app off FIFA's website?

It does run on the P910i, but it goes fullscreen, so I can't get to the Java console buttons. It's not touchscreen compatible, but has "Back" available from softbuttons at the bottom of the screen, which of course the P910 doesn't have.

Anyone found a way around this?

Yep; it's:

http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/m/

It sends you a WAP push message, which gives you a JAD file, which installs the Java app. I had some problems with the WAP Push message it gave me when I downloaded it in my Internet browser; in the end, I manually typed the URL into my PC browser, and it downloaded fine.

I looked through this URL but there is no option to send a push message to mobile, only emulator on that page. could you please explain how exactly to download the .jar file?

The pane below that one, asks you for your mobile number. If you enter this, they'll send you a WAP Push message with the JAD link.

I must be missing something here! I looked all over the page but cannot see anywhere to enter a number.

Can anyone help or just upload the install file?

I can only use the text based live cast here in the US.

Perhaps they identify your location by IP address?

I can't post my own link as it's user-specific; they track usage once activated. The generic link is:

http://bo.evpt.com/appDownload/a/ ....... FIFA06.jad/locale=EN

Where "....." is a 64-digit Hexadecimal ID number. Perhaps you can try this using a random number, and see if it lets you download?

The jad leads to a jar with the same ID code, so providing the Jar won't help either!
