Hi guys,

I've just bought W800, and it works great.

I was wondering if there is a way to completly control the phone from the computer?

I mean, after connecting it via USB, to perform all the actions using a computer... Dial from the computer, Answer calls from the computer, use the computer microphone and speakers, instead of the ones the W800 has, ect.

If there isn't, perhaps you know a way to, at least, use the computer microphone and speakers...

I wish to do that, so I can have better quality, and so I can run the sound thru some programs to distort or change it.

thanks alot.

Thanks, I've tried it.

But it gets me only half way thru....

I'm able to control the phone, my I can't use the computer's mic and speakers. I still have to use the phone's mic and speakers.

Actually, my current specific problem is that I can't play a song during the call... the phone just won't play it, with a nice error msg "can't play sound".

By playing the song near the phone's microphone, the quality is pretty bad...

So I thought I'll play the song directly from the computer.

Just connect 3,5 mm jack of the phone with line-in jack of PC's sound card.

its not that simple.
the microphone and audio cable is unique for sony ericsson, and the data is transmitted in an unstandard way.

Note that if you'll connect regular earphones instead of the sony ericsson's they won't work.

First. There are a lot of adapters (fast-port to 3,5mm jack) to connect mobile to sound card.
Second. Try audio gateway service (like in Widcomm 5.0.1.801 for ex.) to be worked with your bluetooth adapter for using PC as phone speaker and headphone.
