I have a big problem with 1 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo Gaming. I bought this card about month ago for my smartphone SonyEricsson P910i. When I first time put this card into the phone everything was ok, card works good. Later I bought card reader (Vivanco USB2.0 -> 23in1 Card Reader), when i put my card into this reader and transfer some mp3's and take card from reader to phone, it doesn't work now. In card reader everything is ok, card works great, I tested card and it hasn't bad sectors, but when i put it to the phone card doesn't work. I tested card with other SE phones (K750i and W810i) and it doesn't work with any (but my P910i works great with standard 32MB card):-( I also tested card with few models Sony digital cameras and it work good. Card was formated with FAT16. What should I do to make card good for my phone again?

When you put it in the phone does it give you a message? Try saving a picture to it.

Reason I asked is that a friend gave me a Lexar 256Mb and it's rubbish. I get a similar problem. It sometimes works in the phone and other times won't. Even if it gives me that message sometimes Smartmovie can still see films I put on it but at the same time it won't show up in Sman. I did get it to work but then a little while later, without removing it, the phone would detect it as corrupt. It would always work fine in the card reader as well.

I suggested getting a Sony or Sandisk. I just picked up another Sony 2GB card from an excellent seller on EvilBay for £32 inc postage. (he charges £1.50 for p&p)

@Luke- dumb of me but if you can get any warranty claim? If its genuinely gone Bust.. Else back up data, media etc frm Card Reader to Comp. See if @least formats thru reader.. Then put it back in fone fr 15-20Secs& hope da fone reConfigs it.. There are internal Non User folder etc that u mite hav unintentionaly fiddled.. I knw, I DID.. Put it frm P910 to this one once And merily deleted 'Unfiled' etc folder as dey seemed useless in S7.. Luckily hd entire bakUp wid Path sub folder etc. It worked Hope da same This message was posted from a S700

Brothers iam having 2 gb meory stick pro duo. i am also facing the same problem . when i attach the memory stick to pc via card reader. every thing gets corrupted when i againinsert it in the p910i......


plz help me ./ i ahve tried formating in every possible way both in phone and pc also.........

the major problemarise when i put some files via card reader....
