the vodafone w900i never came unbranded did it?
a mate of mine wants one, as i have just bought a black one, and he likes it, he is looking on ebay and came across this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sony-er[....]egoryZ3312QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
he has contacted her a couple of times, she states that it was a vodafone upgrade which she has unlocked, but came unbranded, and she said one of her friends also got the same thing, no vodafone branding, hmm. she was giving it to her son, but the son would rather the money, and she has offered my mate a buy it now price of 160gbp. that seems a bit funny though, an unbranded voda w900i? is this true?
my mate is hesitant to buy it as she is new,but she is seling a couple other phones which all have photos.
Should he buy?
cheers

I've never come across an unbranded Vodafone phone, carefull though, new seller with no feedback and who will only accept postal order or bankers draught..... I'd have alarm bells ringing.

I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her.
She could put that phone on a BIN for over £200.
No feedback and I have never seen a white unbranded W900i that isn't on Voda.
I remember seeing a black W900i advertised as locked to O2 and I remembered they were bundled on e2save on that network.
Plus it would cost more than £4.50 to send that special delivery.
Anyone can have an msn account. If she lived near then that would be different. She could just cut off all communication and you would be buggered.

All her items end at roughly the same time, so its not like you can get feedback from the first item. what a predicament.
Although its cheap at the minute see how much its going for nearer the end of the auction, see if its worth the gamble.
Failing that you can see how brave your mate is and ask to get a naked picture of herself holding the phone, least then you know she's serious about selling it lol

.......hahahahaha, if worse comes to worse haha
she has sent a few pics... he could request a username on paper or something next to the phone... but still that can be photoshoped..

You can get W900s in white, with a

below the screen instead of Vodafone. However you cant change the screen yourself, and you cant get unbranded white ones in the UK.
