I just upgraded my phone from a K750i to a W810i.

I have noticed that sometimes when i lock the keys and leave the phone for a while the number "1" is displayed on the screen.

I noticed this on the k750i also.

What does this mean?

Thanks in advance

i've also noticed that you can press 1 when it is locked. You can also press 9 when it is locked leading me to believe that it is to allow you to make emergency calls when the keypad is locked. eg 999 - UK, 911 - US.

All number will appear as will characters. This just means that you have hit a key before the keyboard locked. Please close this thread now.

WRONG!
This is a security feature...

You can type '112' (European emergency number) or '911' (US emergency number) even with the phone locked...
You might be unconscious and the person who gets near you first, might not know how to unlock it.

Better yet, you can type those numbers and make the call with no SIM card inserted or with no network coverage (this one is strange, but i think network operators share network access in these cases, or maybe it uses a diferrent frequency with wider range)
