I too have the flashing LED problem. My w810i is locked to o2. I've tried the software update option in the settings menu, but it states that I'm upto date. My software version is R4CE012.
Anyone know when o2 may decide to implement a new firmware upgrade?

mine flashes the led too, but only after some 15 seconds so it's not a real
problem for me. mine too is "locked" !!! to O2, although that's not a term I'd
have used - try another simin it and see
