if I understood you correctly,

technicly you can create a network via your bluetooth and surf the net on your phone by using the internet connection from your computer,

as I said 'technicly' it should work but never tried it and I doubt the phone will allow it.

You can try the new feature bluetooth PAN. Check under ur settings menu. This will allow you to use ur adsl connection to access sites on ur phone. Enjoy! Cheers

Sounds like a drive-by explanation. Why don't you elaborate a bit more and tell if you have done this. To the best of my knowledge I do not think it is possible. So for a more clear understanding, explain where these new settings are and how to implement them.

I do not have a k800, but from my understanding and other people over at mobile-review forums, Bluetooth PAN does allow you to connect on ur phone using ur PC connection. Go to Settings>Bluetooth and see if it's there. Do sum research dude. It's a feature of all new sony ericsson phones.

So let's have a full explanation then - you sound quite knowledgeable about it.

I have PAN on my bluetooth and it's doesn't recognise the phone as a client or server. And as far as I can see from my Toshiba help docs it won't do simply because the service is there.

Thank you. My sentiments exactly. It was his solution to offer so he should explain it. To tell me to do the research is, well, stupid. If he offered the solution then he should back it up with how it works. I have a SE w810, k600i and I do not seem to be able to find the PAN setting there. Not to say they are not there but I can not seem to find them. If our resident expert on PAN solutions can explain this, then by all means. Enlighten us, because up to now you have not shown jack.

I have found some information from a friend who says that the PAN implementation is for the auto Bluetooth Internet setting.

With the k800 you don't have to set up dial up information for internet via BT or USB if you use the phone as a modem - it's all inside.

I think people are getting confused and think it means you can access the internet on the phone using this implementation.

I think I'll try out the SE SDK route explained earlier on.

Hey guys. I don't mean to be unclear. The problem is I don't have a k800 so I can't be very specific. My reason for posting is that I wanted to let you guys know that it is possible to use bluetooth PAN to access ur computers internet connection on ur phone. I will post the link to the relevant thread from the mobile-review forums as soon as I can access it. Right now, their servers are down. This new feature is only possible on all NEW phones supporting bluetooth V2 (k800, k610, m600). It will not work on a w810.
