Got my phone a week ago. I'm having a heck of a time with the phone plugged into the charger. With the phone on, when I plug it into the charger, it freezes- totally non-responsive to any of the buttons. Also, I hear an occasional "ding". Disconnecting the charger usually restores funtionality.
If I turn off the phone before plugging it in, it powers up. I get a white screen, then the charging screen. Then, the phone turns off and on, and keeps repeating this every 30 secs or so, accompanied with the "ding". Eventually it freezes, and the only way I can get the phone to function is to unplug it from the charger, remove the battery, and reinstall it. Has anyone experienced this? Would really appreciate any help.

Sounds like a duff phone. Take it back and get them to give you a new one.

Probably a problem with the fast port or charger port.

I've experienced this very same thing when I bought a 2nd hand

T68i . . . I replaced the charger that comes with the package with my back-up one in the drawer, and the charging went normal . . . the thing that puzzled me was, the faulty charger was an 'original' one

. . .
