hi everyone,

as many may know, or remember - a number of weeks ago i won a treo 650 smartphone on the football competion on pa1mone's website. i recieved the phone today.

i have a few questions - one) how the heck do i use the bluetooth to its full potential?!?!? two) where do i get the stereo headset? three) wtf cant i use grafiti on the screen (i guess its because the screen isnt up to that much whereas a specific writing area is up to withstanding alot more pressure) four) is there any way to play J2ME games on the device? five) erm...is there any way to setup a bluetooth network between my treo and pc so as i can use my broadband connection to browse the internet?

thanks everyone! and btw its my birthday tomorrow

EDIT!!! --- the reason i was posting! - six) how the bloody hell to i setup gprs on the thing?!? - i've tryed in prefs. under networks - and btw i'm using an o2 simcard in it atm - since my orange card is on the way (which im gonna use constantly) - im gonna use some free-downloads on the o2 card

@awave, I'll walk you through a step by step on how to enter the GPRS settings.

Firstly, Only the O2 GPRS-Web settings will work on the Treo, the GPRS-WAP will not work, as the Treo only has the Blazer browser. So payg customers are out of luck here.

Step 1: In the system category open 'Prefs'.

Step 2: In 'Prefs', Look for 'Network' under 'Communication'.

Step 3: Now go to the top-menu and click 'Service>New'

Step 4: Enter the following settings:
- Service: O2 Web
- Connection: GPRS
- User Name: mobileweb
- Password: password
- APN: mobile.o2.co.uk

Step 5: Click the 'Details' Button at the bottom of the screen, and click 'Advanced'

Step 6: Uncheck the 'DNS' button and enter the following values:
- Primary: 193.113.200.200
- Secondary: 193.113.200.201

and thats it!! Your done.

Hope it helps.

ps. Sorry for the bad image quality, is the best I could do in short notice. Also, you can go to 'Web' and change the homepage to http://pda.o2.co.uk/ (but it is not required).

EDIT: Happy B'Day dude!!

Ok, Just googled and found one more thing, If you are using payg, the settings change a little bit. Use the APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk, and Username: payandgo. Everything else remains the same.

i'll have a go now with that - i take it you found out that it is possible :S - i only knew the normal wap settings (well...i know them off by heart...what a sad person...well ive typed them in enough ) - so...i'll write back to say how it went - and yeh...its a pay-as-you-go simcard - i worked out how to set the gprs up on it, but afterwards it just didnt load so i'll have a go now
