> Missing Alarm on M600i
Bookmark topic
I like the new M600i, but have just one problem with it at the moment.
I travel a fair amount for work, and as such use the phone as an alarm clock.
About 2 weeks ago I set the 'wake up' alarm to go off at 04:15 so that I could be on the road ready for the long journey ahead. The idea being, that I then re-set it the next day to a more reasonable time.
Now every week day I get the alarm going off at 04:15 and can't find it anywhere on the phone to stop it happening.
I can't turn the phone off as I need the 'proper' wake up alarm to go off.
Has anyone any ideas...

Hi night time
Are you changing the the "when" bit to once? the default is daily so it will go off every day. You need to change it to "once" then it will only go off on your set day.

This is very annoying and I have not found any workarounds for it. Another variant of this is that if you set the alarms twice to the same time it will go off twice at the same time every day.
I have posted this fault here on the forum before and seems like the only way around it is to reset the device.
One question though, are you using R1B or R3A ? I am just curious if the fault was fixed in the latest FW upgrade or if it is still there.

@Night-Time
the advice you have been it correct. To stop the alarm problem you can do a Master Reset without a restore or a reflash to the latest firmware again without a restore (a restore will carry over the problem alarm). I use alarms a lot I can report that with the latest firmware the problem has been solved.

I've never had this problem until I sent the phone to workshop to replace a broken scrollwheel. In the workorder it says the have undated the software (The latest rev. was installed). The SW revision is still R6A16 BUT now I have the alarm-bug.
VERY annoying.

The alarm bug is in every firmware, just the right circumstances required to "activate" it.
If you have a recent backup (before the bug appeared) you can do a restore of the settings only which will delete this phantom alarm, however if you don't you'll need to back up your phone (using advance), format it, and then restore everything execpt settings.
