> M600 - Automatic Download of Emails
Bookmark topic
I seem to be having a problem with automatic downloads and wonder if anyone else has this problem. I have the latest firmware and am using GPRS. I have set up 4 different email accounts on the phone. Each works when I manually go to send and receive, the GPRS connection is made and emails are received. However, when I set the phone to automatically retrieve emails for any one of those accounts, I have noted that when I use the time interval, say every 5 mins or 15 mins, it does not work, but if I set it to every one minute, it does! Further, if I set specific times (there are up to 3 specific times that can be set), that seems to work too. But the every 15 mins is of more use to me. Could there be a setting or something I am missing perhaps?

I'm using scheduled download on one account and its working fine here.
to confirm, I have the scheduled download box ticked, "by interval selected" and 15 minutes set for the "minutes between downloads"
I have also set "begin at" to 07:00 and "end at" to 19:00
maybe compare your settings with mine to see any difference?

Thanks Masseur. I have tried settings similar to yours but it still doesn't work. It's rather odd!

I have all my accounts set to 15 minutes (due to the IMAP idle bug) and it works.

I can confirm I have the same exact problem.
Also, anyone know how to get rid of Sync'd email as an option on the Messaging?

Masseur, yes, a manual send and receive works. I have noted that automatic downloads sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. Seems intermittent yet I have ensured that I have a strong GPRS signal at all times so it's odd.

Ihave been too quick. 15 minutes interval does not work for me either, or at least, not reliably. I have not yet discovered where the problem is, although I suppose it depends whether you have a data connection already open at the moment the schedule is due.
