Ring up again and I bet you get a different answer.
Have you not tried CPW?

Don't let the Orange contracts call centre leave you feeling asif you're stranded for 'Seasons in the Abyss' (lol sorry, couldn't help that when I saw your username..

).
Phone them again, have a War Ensemble (

) going and threaten to leave/ ask for your PAC number, and see if you have a different response...

Slightly off the subject here.....But F*** yer Orange are useless.
I had Orange on contract 6 years ago and i thought they were brilliant. I left and took my number to Vodafone for some strange reason I can't remember now. This year i returned to Orange...BIG mistaka to maka... But back in the day, Orange was the absolute best network by far at one point.......
• Customer service was great and always happy to help (! Now in India WTF!)
• Coverage was brilliant (Now sketchy and keep picking up French network over Orange (I live near the coast about 26 miles from France???)
• The more calls I made the more points I built up and got free gifts in exchange for these points. (Can’t remember what it was called but if I remember rightly I had to text something like balance to 402 or something and it told me for free how many points I had (this service doesn’t exist now??))
• Once a month they sent me a booklet showing what new gifts were added that I can exchange my points for.
• My minutes rolled over unlimited months as did my text messages. (now roll over one month only)
C'mon Orange what happened?
You really do suck now...really, reeally suck.
When i phone you for advise i get a frickin Indian who can never understand a word i am saying and telling me my English is bad and to stop using slang..WTF...MY language, English network WTF are you to tell me how to speak the Queens tongue?.......W***ers!

Keep complaining about the CS.
Here in the US computer maker DELL moved it's customer service call center to India. People complained a lot and Dell had to close the CS center in India and reopen it in the US. Just had to throw that in.

There are quite a few UK companies doing the same at present.
it was on the radio the other day....sooooo many complaints so they did the same...brought them back to the UK...WHERE THEY SHOULD BE.
I have absolutely nothing against the Indians and Pakistani's whatsoever infact some of my best friends are Indian and Pakistani, but when it comes to setting up a call centre in thier country where the majority of them speak very bad English and can't understand English people...well it is a bit of a problem to say the least.

I just had a funny experience with them.
I emailed them on Tuesday morning asking if they sold 3G PAYG sims. I didn't get a response straight away so I went to the Orange shop and they sold me one for £5.
Lo and behold I have just received and email from them stating, rather bluntly:
Thank you for your recent mail. In response we do not sell 3G sims.
Kind Regards
Angela
So, I replied to Angela that I was conducting a survey for an online magazine on how the inconsistent levels of customer support from operators can leave customers confused and bewildered! and that 3G sims can, surprisingly enough, be purchased from your Orange shops!
Told her her response was duly noted and thanked her for her time.
