Bought a w810i from ebay about a week ago, has been working fine till this morning, basically there is no sound at all even on calls, and the camera doesnt work either and keeps freezing. i havent done anything wrong to it just reason all this happened its starting to annoy me as i cant send it off to be fixed as i bought it from ebay. The whole thing is useless as mp3s dont play and i cant make calls.

Rule 1. Don't buy electronics off of ebay. Just a fact. Sure you might win but you can also lose. The thing to do now is to bit the bullet, go to an SE repair shop and see if it can be repaired under warrantee. If not, you will have to pony up the cash for the repair. I am sure the person you bought it off of is long gone.

Did you buy it second handed? I bought my w810 from eBay too, but it came totally new. Everything sealed in plastic, exept the main box. Yours is a hard situation but you'll have to take it to a repair store and pay for it. Too bad, some eBayers are shameless...

i dont think it had anything to do with the ebayer, but im starting to wonder if it was dodgy as hes not bothering to help me out with a reciept by replying to my messages, i rang up sony ericson and they said they would fix it as long as i can show a reciept, so hopefully that will work. thanks for the help you two!!
