39!? I went to a computer fair this weekend, and the guy said he just sold his last one for 15 quid NOT HAPPY! He didnt have any cables either. EVEN MORE NOT HAPPY!!!!

Don't think you can use your Psion 5 as an IR adapter to direct to the PC, although I did find software to sync with my old Nokia 8210 (Urgh!). Hope this helps...

Dunno if you have already got your IR adaptor by now, but hope this helps anyway:

I just bought my serial-IR adapter form www.expansys.com for £25 (ex VAT). Works great.
