For those MMS enthusiasts using Vodafone UK, just received an e-mail reply sayin that MMS is coming out on 26th October. That's for those who haven't checked yet.

MMS for Vodafone U.K. users is supposed to be FREE until February 2002.
And once they start billing, it will be on a per MMS basis. For text only MMS messages, these will be automatically detected by the server and charged for at a little above the cost of a standard SMS (the advantage being you can use more than 160 characters and send to multiple recipients).

MMS will be enabled for PAYT as well as contract on Vodafone, you'll be able to buy a swish Sharp GX-10 on PAYT prepay (cost almost as much as a T68i and Communicam on Virgin) to use MMS and other Vodafone Live! features.
Not sure about your MMS staying put until next week, I'm not sure if the server's will ger purged before you can download your MMS (although you can view it if you have web access as you should have received an SMS).
