> Can k800 have light on while taking video?
Bookmark topic
One of the main features of a night out is taking videos, but sometimes its toooo dark and you need the light on, but last night i tried is and there was no way i could get the light on for a video like i could for the k750.. so is there a way??
and is there a torch on the phone, i find is quite useful sometimes?

I would think not since the K800 has a flash not a light, which because a flash is a rather quick burst of electricity, it cannot be constant in that state. But yeah a small LED would have been good as well.

What a shame, no flash light. Seriously, what would you prefer, a professional flash light, or something like in a W800?

They should've added a white led instead of the red one to serve as a flash light

If you are saying what a shame sarcastically..
it is a shame IMO...
I use the video a lot to record nights out or generally use the torch which comes in handy a lot with cars breaking down or finding things when its dark.
I lost my phone on a field last night when it was dark and had to wait until this morning to go and look for it, because i didnt have my torch

the light is way too strong. And it would take up alot of battery too.

SE are way too obsessed with their cameras and in that process forget the little things that could mean so much.

The AF system depends on the little RED light, so that cant be removed.

I always thought the red LED was a red eye reduction thing as seen in a few cameras. I've not explored this too much, since my new k800i remains in it's box until I get my 3g SIM next week.
