Hi
is it only me or does anyone else think it is a bit ridicilous that phones are being launched at high prices that immediately require having the firmware constantly upgraded to fix bugs that virtually means the phone is unusable. Or do you think this acceptable and you are happy to pay to be a beta tester? Maybe we would all be happier if the phone company's didn't announce new phones/smartphones till they are in the final stages of beta testing and we received a finished product with virtually no bugs if any and didn't have to wait months for it to appear and then when it does it works properly. As much as i would like to have the latest all singing all dancing phone/smartphone i no longer buy anything when first released as just find it too annoying to be worth it.

Do people have to pay for firmware upgrades? If so, then this is really shite.

Updates are free from SEUS.
There seems to be two camps here, those saying, like you Dogmann, basically 'get it right before releasing phones', and the other camp saying 'why hasn' t the Pxxx been released yet, they announced it x months ago!'
Bit of a no win situation! Perhaps SE should hold off announcing phones for a few months, then people aren't waiting around nearly a year for a particular model to come out, less pressure on SE to get the firmware right and iron the bugs out, hopefully a bit more of a compromise!

i think its just down to the manufacturer wanting to get the phone out on date! - they didnt have enough time to do enough beta testing etc

annoying eh?
