Vodafone want to charge me £140 to upgrade to the K800i!!! I've been with them for 5 years now as a business customer but they wont budge. I said 'fine' i'll leave and asked for my PAC number. They gave me a number to fax my request too, which i did and have now recieved my PAC number via post. Listening to what you guys have said on here, i was expecting a call from retentions but have had nothing. I want to stay with Vodafone, but want a good deal. Is there a number for the Retentions department?? Any help/advice greatly appriciated. Simon

£140 thats a hell of a lot. I cant remeber the last time i paid for an upgrade...
Its also based on your bills, anything over £100 per month usually makes them go out of their way to keep you...
Will they give you anything off the phone at all?

My average bill is £55 and i've had about 3 £100 bills over the years contract. As soon as i said i was leaving, he said he could knock £40 off the price, but i just laughed and hung up. I phoned back later to ask again, after seeing that they are giving the phone away for free on a lesser contract online, but said that the price remained the same. If thats how they treat all their customers, then i'm gob smacked!!! I want to stay with them for lots of reasons, but i am really hating having to do so. Simon

I am on Anytime125 and pay £20 pm. I seldom use more minutes than the 125 than come with the package. As I am at the end of my contract I wanted to see what deal I could get. I dialed 191 option 2 for billing them selected the option for "are you thinking of leaving VODAPONE". Guy offered me 1/2 price line rental for 9 and the k800 for free if I took out an 18 month contract or £48 for the phone if I took a 12 month contract.

Sometime I wish we had contracts in Egypt. But what's the point of contracts if its all about haggling to get a good deal and shouldn't all offers be the same for everyone more or less?

My contract with Vodafone ended last month. I called them last week saying i would like the Samsung E900 for free. My contract is an old one with them 100 mins and 50 texts for £15 a month. After some haggling, they said they could do it for £20, at which point I asked for my PAC code. Couple of days later there is a phone (courtesy) call from them, asking why am leaving, and is there anything they can do. The phone is now on its way to me for free, so why do they arse around in the first place?
