I am just wondering if anyone can tell me what the 'my friend' section on the K800 is? I had a look on the o2 website and couldn't find anything.

By far the best free Java messenger client, allows you to connect to Yahoo & MSN, also allows several chats to be opened at once using a TAB system for easy navigation. I've tried several, including the inbuilt "My Friends" on SE, via some online gateways, but this one is the best.
Another very important point is that this messenger system appears to use far less data transfer than others, especially "My Friends", making it virtually free to use. You can sign in and send a few messages and only transfer about 2KB, if that (equates to 0.6p on O2 UK). You can also set your presence (eg "appear offline", "away"), which I have not seen in other clients.
Kind of a mini review, but I'm surprised that this system is still not as popular as it should be. Free and effective, with very low GPRS transfers.
Java MIDP1.0 and 2.0 versions. K800i will use the MIDP2.0 version.

Yamigo has all but been abandoned.
There is no support for it anymore, not for a while anyway.
Smartvas works like a dream.

You don't have to ring O2 at all.
As long as you have your Wap set up ok then you should be able to just download the java program onto your phone and enter you email address and password.
