Hi i went to Panama here a while ago and found my SonyEricsson S700i not working!? Do they have some odd strange network in Panama? Or is it simply my Norwegian sim that does not work in that country? Pleease help me! Oh by the way to all Norwegians you cant use NetCom in Costa Rica. So so much for a world coverage!

I think Panama use 850 MHz frequency, and the K750i only allows for 900/1800/1900 MHz.
As for Costa Rica, I guess that either you do not have roaming activated on your sim card, or that there's no roaming agreement between your network and the Costa Rican operators, since their GSM networks use 900 MHz.

This not only happens in Panama; because in Colombia the GSM 850 still exists and is used by two of the three operators but at least this is starting to change because at slow pace they are "trying" to change to GSM 1900.
and yes it looks outdated but what can we do???
BTW not many of the
models are brought to Colombia because of this
