> Blue Bar on W800

For some reason the blue bar that appears just above the "signal strength" indicator in the top left hand corner of the screen on my W800 has appeared and wont disappear, anyone any suggestions?

why would anyone want to turn off gprs? that has to be done by the provider.The blue bar indicates that there is GPRS coverage (while it indicates it shouldn't cost anything) and the only way i think you can disable it is to call your provider and say that you don't want any GPRS,although i don't see the purpose of doing this,what's the problem if you have GPRS?

In settings, data comm. preferred service you can choose GSM only or GPRS and GSM. If you choose GSM only the GPRS indicator will remain off until your actually use GPRS and will dissapear once GPRS activity is finished
some people say this save battery life but I'm not sure

I set mine to GSM data only and it makes the blue triangle go away but you can still connect to GPRS as usual. What is the point?
