As of today the K800i seems available for new connections only within Orange stores. Use this topic to discuss Orange specific K800i issues/experiences:
Mine so far are as follows:
1) As per the K750i the Line 2 features works a charm. Simply go into settings>favourites and set the joystick up (or right/left/down) to "switch to Line2" in the settings menu. Now you can switch between lines at the flick of a joystick!
2) The branding on the phone is minimal, at least it doesnt have the Orange menu bar down the left hand side of the homescreen.
3) One bug I have found is that if you mess with the Line 1/2 names under settings it doesnt not allow you to change them back to Line 1 and Line 2, it shortens the names and cuts characters off! Bugger!
4) You can not compose/reply to texts whilst in Line 2. you have to come out of the menu, switch to line 2 and continue! Annoying!

i just bought this on orange student, got £100 for my old philip c12 trade in and 100 minutes and 1000 texts for £25pm i already debranded it as the i hated the orange branding the icons!!

I wonder why some networks seem to prefer to use the old K800 design? Easier to advertise themselves on a sticker... like Orange and 3?
I prefer the newer non-sticker design much better IMO.
Perhaps a tad off topic, soz.

Still relevant but yes much cheaper for them to replace an Orange logo onto the exisitng Cybershot one.

I've got some questions for ya.
Is it worth getting the phone on Orange? What 3G services do Orange offer for a small fee.
Is the Orange label UNDER the screen or is it stuck on the top?
I am thinking about getting this phone on 3 but am unsure as I'm with Orange at the mo, don't 3UK mess up your bills?
Does the RSS reader work on the Orange network?

Line 2 is basically as it sounds. You effectively have 2 lines (numbers) for the one phone/one sim.
So (for e.g.) you can have a business and personal number on the same phone, make and receive personal calls on line 1 and switch to line 2 for business calls. I guess builling is separated out too. It does of course cost extra for a 2nd line.

I purchase a wotanserver credit and it complete in just over 5 minutes i think it alot better without the orange branding as i dont use line 2 function.

RSS feeds are working fine on my Orange K800. Not sure about the 3G capabilities though, Orange don't seem to be generous with supplying very detailed information about that, apart about making video calls.
I'm very happy with my Orange K800, I had prepared myself for much more extensive branding.
