This happened after i installed the software for my k750. Basically when i connected the phone it appeared and functioned all correctly with my pc however, when i try to access the internet its dropped from around 4mbps to around 5kbps!?!? and it wont return to full speed until i completely restart my pc. WHY? does anyone know?

This is now happening with my k800 and the new se software for that! what is causing it?

please help as its really REALLY annoying!

Thats weird. Never heard of that before. Is it something to do with firewall settings blocking your phone connection or something?

Are you sure that you aren't using your phone's internet connection instead of your usual connecton when the phone is connected to your computer? 5kbps sounds like the speed of GPRS.

Is your broadband modem a USB model, or an Ethernet one?

Yeah unfortunately its a BT Voyager USB modem. Been thinkin about getting a decent adsl router.

Is that likely to be a problem tho??

remember all the usb ports in your pc is shared". it means if you had another usb connection its possible to divide the connection speed. if you use firewire such as IEEE it will be better cuz it not shared like USB2.0
