> Contact caused phone to blink!
Bookmark topic
Ok. My W800i displayed a strange behaviour for the first time.
I added a international number to my phone book and saved it. When i tired to send a text, it failed so i went to check the numbers again and edited the contact. All the numbers where correct so i proceded to save and then my phone switched off, went black then started to blink black then white a few times. After that it went black and it switched on and loaded into the main screen.
I had my S/W updated from R1N035 to R1AA008 in Feb 06 and not exprienced any problems.
What could have caused this glitch to happen?

this has happened to me quite a few times,it is because the phone has filled it's ram memory and needs to empty it. i think k800 has the same problem.

@ bugsiiy: Hummm ... well i not had any problems like that before when adding/editing/saving contacts.
My contact memory status is:
Phone memory: 133(500) Numbers: 133
SIM card memory: Numbers 169(200)

@Frubin i don't think it is related to your contacts free space. for example, did you listen to music or took a picture before adding that contact? all i'm saying is that my w800 crashes only if i used it alot during the same day, thats why i think that the ram is to blame in your case too.otherwise i have no clue, hope that a mobile phone guru from esato is going to show you the path

Ok. Nope i didn't listen to my music/radio or took a picture before i added the contact. I've not really used my phone, been on idle/standby most of the day and only sent one text today.

@ rockdred12: I have removed the battery, sim and memory and left it out for a while before inserting them and the phone boots up and works ok.
I didn't exprience any problems with the other contacts which are mostly UK mobile numbers. I had no problems calling the contact, just sending a message to them so maybe it something to do with the networks?
