[Upgrade Possibilities]
-T68 -> T68i (tested by some members)
-T68i -> T68i (not tested)
-T68i -> lower firmwares (not tested)

[Advanatages]
-For North Americans we can not get an upgrade
-If you need to flash a new language
-If you have any versions before R2E, it is a major advantage
-Cheaper and faster then sending it out

[Disadvantages]
-DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
-You can void out your warranty
-If anything goes wrong, your phone will be dead
-If you do a language flash, all four locks can be locked

[Things you need]
-T28 Data Cable (www.logosunlimited.co.uk or other websites)
-A flash file (http://www.alfamobil.cz/support.htm or other TRUSTABLE websites)
*a temporary ftp site might be posted for version R5D english/chinese, (thanks to waikincheng)*
-T68(m)(i) phone WITH A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY
-Ericsson Logger ver6.52 or above (www.logosunlimited.co.uk or www.unlocking.co.uk)
-A log-in name and password (www.logosunlimited.co.uk or www.unlocking.co.uk [for a fee])
-Internet Connection (can't be behind a firewall)
-Windows98 or WindowsXP

[Directions]
(obtained from http://www.gsmhacking.com.ua/using_tips.php?id=18)
**IF YOU HAVE A DOWNLOADED FLASH FILE**
1. Open the Ericsson Logger program
2. Click on "Settings" tab
3. Enter your User name and Password
4. Click on "Advanced" tab
5. Connect T68
6. click "Open SW" and choose T68i_Avr.bin
7. Choose AVR Flash Chip (in the pull down menu)
8. Set start 0000-0000 length 0080-0000
9. Press "Flash SW" wait till process finished
10. Click "Open SW" and choose T68i_Arm.bin
11. Set start 0000-0000 length 0020-0000
12. Choose ARM Flash Chip (in the pull down menu)
13. Press "Flash SW"
14. Wait till process finished, if percentage stopped at 99% in ARM
Chip mode - no problem, the phone is ready.

Its not that hard or reckless. I used to flash/proghram new bin files and SW files to DTV acess cards. Its about the same thing. I just don't feel the need to do this for a phone. For free tv now thats something else. Although I dont do that either anymore for myself.

things to add:
[upgrade possiblility]
T68i->T68i tested

[Disadvantages]
If you use the "flash language" option to flash the 10MB file, you may have "a chance" to have four locks locked, especially in to case of flashing to T68ie from T68i or T68m

[Things you need]
-flash file
R5C provided by Funks, thank him.

Waikincheng:
Your file name T68ie... will mix Chinese from China. Because your file is for Traditional Chinese and that should be T68i. T68ie is only for Simplified Chinese. If Chinese users download your file will screw up his T68ie.

Just remind.

I think in the instructions you forgot to mention that the phone should be unlocked before the flash. At least thats what I have read in these forums.
