hey guys, i hoave doanloaded the according programs, however when it says to take the sim card out and press the c button , then nothing happens...
Anyone had the same problem in the past?
When i connect the phone, it is switched off right? And then i press 'c' and i wait for the computer to start? Should i have open any other program?

After holding C for the 1st time, Windows must pop up 'Driver installing wizard' to install USB Flash driver. If not, something wrong with the Windows itself. Reinstall all,and see what happens.

Just the instruction of removing the battery, the sim card etc...
What other programs should i have installed by the way?
Or is it just the update program?

did sonyericsson changed the update program and now the ones that are installing the software now cannot upadate their phones?
I dont know actually what is the problem , i was on the pc yesterday 3 straight hours without finding a solution...

Follow these steps and it should work:
1) Remove battery and wait 5 seconds.
2) Put the battery back and wait 5 seconds.
3) Push the C button for 5 seconds.
4) Put the cable while holding the C button.
5) It should work, if not try another usb port.

Also do we have to take out the sim card? Because when i take out the sim card the on the phone says insert sim card...
