Now that Wi-Fi is more and more widespread one could not only use it at home but also elsewhere... Calls will defenitely be very cheap

It is a great idea except here in the UK using WiFi hot spots is expensive and definitely not free some one correct me if i am wrong. So seems kinda pointless really i use Skype for calls to Landlines anywhere in the world and my mobile for calls to mobiles no way would i pay for WiFi for some free or cheap calls whilst out and about. I have a 3G phone for data why would i need WiFi and can use as much as i want for £7.50 per month. Some times tech for the sake of it seems pointless in my opinion but we are are all different to others it may be the killer feature they desire.
