Hi

Just got off the phone with carphonewarehouse - they want £15 to change me sim over to 3G. I tried phoning o2 direct, but they ask you to key your mobi number in so they can direct you to the right dept, then I get recorded voice saying i need to speak to carphone.

Can I not upgrade my 2G Sim free of charge?

Cheers

Drew

well, i'll tell you what i did. Ordered my K800 and it didnt come with a 3g sim so i phoned up and ordered one. When it came through i called up to activate it and accidently gave them the sim number from my old 2g sim and they activated 3g on it. This is with the CPW as well. So no way should they charge you for it, unless you're on a payasgo sim at the moment?

I just been on to CPW too, the guy on customer services said I can go into any CPW store tomorrow and get a 3g sim, it will cost me £15 but he's put a credit note on the system which will re-imburse that providing that whoever sells me the 3g sim calls the customer services dept to confirm I have bought it.....

all though it prob cost me 15 quid the time I spent on friggin hold!

I've got an O2 Online account, called up saying that Ineed a 3G-enabled simcard. I enquired if I'd be charged and the girl said NO, as it was my first card (presumably because I hadn't asked for a replacement since receiving my current simcard).

Not really cos I refuse to pay for the call seen as it should have been sent out in the original package
