Can I use the warranty that I have to replace the orange rubber on the joystick of my w800i?
Am I gonna have to pay the service center even if I've the warranty card?
And btw,I've modded my phone. I changed the sms memory and the menu icons.
Will that affect my warranty?

It sounds like you haven't done any hard mods - ie physical ones. SO your warranty should cover it. I think there have been other ppl with the same problem as you. Maybe do a search and see their results?

@g-roxx0304 if you modded your phone using FAR manager,yes you've lost your warranty.Now to replace that joystick tip,you have to buy a new joystick and take it to a service center to replace it,this will cost you too.

@bLySs anything that you do to your phone's software or hard exterior modifications leads to loss of warranty.Anything you modifiy to your software,even if it is increasing sms memory or changeing the display driver leads to warranty loss.As for the exterior,if you start dismantling the phone or starting to cut holes in it or who knows what someone can think of,this also leads to warranty loss.

Not necessarily, I had flashed my W800 using Davinci, I had also replaced the whole casing with a replacement from mobilefun (had the whole phone in pieces), I could only text in french, portuguese, Spanish or Chinese and several buttons stopped working. I sent it to the SE Repair center and they fixed it under warranty, no charge to me apart from postage.

I've lost my joystick rubber top on my W800 as well, but i managed to make a nw one using a blob of eproxy glue when i left to set. It worked well.

But as your on the subject about warranty, as i now done this to my joystick, will it now affect my warranty if anything else goes wrong with the phone as i got just under 4 months of warranty still left. I also got Orange insurance so i guess that may cover me as well.
