I have about 80%(6000 songs) of my music in WMA format @ 160 - 192 kbps, and I am really interested in buying a W810 and just feel like it would be perfect if it supported these files.

The W850 will support the format, do think if SE decided to release a firmware update that the W810 may be able to support WMA in the future or is that impossible.

Also would that be possible with Sony's ATRAC3Plus format...seeing as how the Walkman is a Sony music player and ATRAC is a Sony format, the Connect music store (although not perfect) would compliment the phone. (download any song and make it all CONNECT hehe)

It wont and it never will. However there're several programmes which can turn WAM to MP3

The phone cannot or the firmware won't be able to.

WMA to MP3 would not really sound to good. iTUNES does it but you lose some sound quality.

if all your WMAs are not protected, you can use iTunes to convert these files to M4A, which W810 supports. If theyre 160-192 kbps files, the conversion shouldnt result to too much loss in quality; besides the W810 isnt as hi-fi as full-fledged DAPs anyways for such small artifacts to show up

oh yeah, expect popping in the beginning and end the tracks; not uncommon when transcoding compressed audio

Convert it to mp3

Don't always ask what can the phone do for you~!

Always think what you can do for her!

Yea I think conversion would be the only way then, cause I am not re-encoding my CD's again ARGH.

Thanks
