Sorry if this has been specifically already...
How is the new K800 media player?
How does it differ from the K750?
Any losses?
Any pictures?
Thanks all.

the video player is not in media player like it was on the w800 and megabass has been removed but all other functions are the same as the w800s walkman player.

hmmm - this may be slightly weird suggestion, but to the k800i users that are rather erm...confident with the far plugin, and i dunno whether k800i is supported as of yet, but if it was - could you not copy over from w800i files, the megabass profile or something? because imho a media player, without megabass is kinda disappointing (like my mp4 player

The media player isn't exactly the same. It lacks some functions of the Walkman player, but on the plus side it fades in/out when you pause (or get a text, take a photo etc) and it has A2DP - that works brilliantly. I can't believe SE didn't put A2DP on the earlier Walkman models.

My missus and i went and got a w810i and k800i at the same time, and i'm noticing a few *little* niggles that are preventing me from loving the k800i. I don't know if any of these things can be "fixed", are tiny problems i should just get over, or will be dealt with in a firmware upgrade in the future.
I know the k800i isn't an mp3 player as such, but it annoys me that you can have music playing at the network screen (main screen), but you have to enter the media player to go to the next song. Also, you can't go through the playlist in the mPlayer by going up or down with the stick (like on the w810i) - even though the manual says you can - unless you go into 'now playing' or 'playlists'. Anyone else have these issues?
These tiny things are preventing me from truly loving this phone (well, apart from the screen smudging VERY easily, and lack of optical zoom), and i SO want to.... Am i expecting too much from one phone? (will i ever be able to change those ugly icons in the menu???...

You can go up and down the tracks with the K800i in the network screen. just use the vol +/- button on the side. You have to hold it for about half a second.

Cheers!
it's always the little things, isn't it...? Now, if only there were some themes that changed the icons.....

Do you mean the default icons?

My thoughts would have been that it would take merely a flash theme to do this?
Of course I'm not the authority on whether the K800 supports Flash Lite or not, but from my readings I have a hunch that it just might?
If you're referring to a branded handset, then I'm not surprised the icons are ugly! Da Vinci or otherwise will straighten this out for you in no time, all it will cost you is about $10-$20 and your warrantee!
Otherwise - sit tight and hope that Darkmen (genius) will support this handset in the not-too-distant future. I don't want to sound like I'm taking things for granted, but I'm optimistic that this will be the case with such an important model.
And TBH, I find the icons on the K800 (etc) to be much better than what is offered by rival brands.
