North Korea Rejects UN Missile Call

North Korea has angrily denounced a United Nations resolution condemning its missile tests and said it would build up its military arsenal.

North Korea would, it said, "bolster its war deterrent" in every way.

The UN resolution demands that North Korea suspend its ballistic missile programme, and bars all UN member states from supplying North Korea with material related to missiles or weapons of mass destruction.

China had otherwise threatened to veto it.

The resolution was tabled by Japan after North Korea test-fired seven missiles including a long-range Taepodong-2, believed capable of reaching Alaska.

If North Korea does not comply with the resolution, the council could
consider further action.

I think the current Israel events are more worrying, this is just a load of hot air from a nut job in north korea.

they'd never do anything cus they know they'd get wiped out

What annoys me is Bush said "I will not interfer with another country defending itself" (talking about Israel who is attacking Lebanon, and killing innocent people and Lebanon begged for a ceasefire to be called by the US)
I laughed so hard at his hypocracy!, I was like WTF!! You are intefering with North Korea (ok we know they are dangerous but still)
He interferes with ANYthing to do with a Middle Eastern country, but when Israel starts to bomb countries, he sits quietly.

@amnesia - erm...have you never noticed that the 'dubbaya' dude over in the white house is a right nob? - doesn't like...the hole world hate him....and i dont care if i get flamed for this - but anyone that voted for the guy is really weird...you should have just not voted, rejected the fact there was no one decent for the presedential elections, and then tryed to get other people to do the same....would work if enough people did that.
