IMO it just looks like it has throwbacks to Motorola, both old and new. No idea though really, phone companies have an increasing tendancy to "borrow" design elements and trends from each other.

I got a feeling it's a photoshop jobbie, with elements from P9XX and some Moto bits too - the keypad and softkeys are so moto-ish!
