Check the Instruction manual that came with the Router. It has details about how to avoid interference with the Wifi signal. Don't forget to secure the network with a passcode.

Which router you use? And also the wifi card on your PC? Sounds to me like you will need better external anntena, or move your PC/ or router.

Could be. So it wasn't the cordless phone then?

I'm wondering if that wireless USB adapter of yours is any good...

dunno. Says it was all compatible. Moving the phone seemed to up the signal strength a bit. Dunno if it was the phone, or just a coincidence. Anyway, im gonna try unplugging the keyboard/mouse and using the one im using now

oh and was it SP2 you installed? cos my 200gig hard drive only has about 125gig and i got this

Q: I have just installed Windows XP on to my new PC, but the installation only sees 127GB, whilst I ordered a larger hard drive?
A: Make sure you installed Windows XP Service Pack 2, otherwise your operating system will only use up to 127GB of the hard drive capacity
