> K800i contact ringtone problem

OK, so the phone runs great, no hangups freezes or resets. It is a little slow at times, but i cannot get any personalized contact ringtones to work. I select the ringtone and contact, save and then nothing!!! What gives?? Any help guys?

all i can say, is just make sure that you have saved the contact properly, because you sure can spend a long time trying to work out something on a phone when its bloody obvious what you've done wrong
other than that...i'm baffled...don't own one myself...wish i did though

But it's just not working for more than contact, and i've saved several times. This is very annoying, as I like to hear and know who's calling before i take the phone out of my pocket or if i'm far away!

just make sure you point in the right spot after make changes to the phone database. It happened to me after I deleted the contacts on my Mac and did a re-sync.

maybe you should try navigating to the ringtone u wish to assign and then pressing 'more' > use as > contact ringtone.
And if that doesn't work did u know u can record a video and use that as a ringtone?

I also have the same problem. I know for a fact it's NOT me. Bought this sim free sealed 1 month ago from the Maldives. If you set the ringtone for lets say Eminem, then set your friends ringtone for Tupac when your friend rings it states name&number but plays Eminem.
I own 3 se handets and have NEVER had this problem. I also DO NOT like the way it sets out the memory card.
I bought a 1GB micro m2 card and it creates a file with several other files init, so when you go to set ringtones and messages tones etc and you go into ringtones there not there because there in this file (which you can't access).
Going to get mine de-branded and hope there's a software update not far away!!!

Try different ways of setting it
1st, try edit contact and add the ringtone
2nd, try going into the ringtone folder and assign the ringtones
if both fail, then exchange

Done that. I have always owned se handsets and are very familiar with them. I am baffled though as i have even deleted the contact and re-typed the information. Pass!!! : o

If anyone has any other ideas i'd be grateful. I had a 1GB pro duo that i saved my contacts to then transfered all data to micro m2 1GB.
I had a feeling that the contact was in the memory twice as this in my opinion is the only reason for not playing what i am asking it to play, but again no.
Very annoying as i have 271 contacts and EVERYONE has it's own ringtone. Takes me hours to do, but when my bird rings me i think it's an unknown number or one not stored.
VERY VERY anoying!!!!!!!!!!
