I've moved from the P910i to the M600i and there seems to be certain functions that I relied on constantly that seem to have been missed out on the M600i.
The main things I've noticed so far:
1) Switching on keylock - used to do this from the right hand hardware button, but now although I've found autokeylock, I cannot find anything to manually lock the keys. Now there is a risk of buttons getting pressed in my pocket before the keylock comes on.
2) Switching off keylock with scroll wheel - press back, then press in. That's how I've always turned off the keylock - with one hand. Now I have to press * and then touch the screen. Not easy when my hands are full.
3) Recent calls list. Again, I used to do this one handed. Once I'd unlocked the phone, I'd press in the scroll wheel and up would come my list of recent calls - most of which I used frequently. Less hassle than using the contacts application. Now I have to touch the Calls button on the screen to do this. Not so easy with one hand.
I think there may be other things but these are the ones that are bugging me most at the moment.
Does anyone who has spent more time with this phone know how to overcome these missing features?

Just press and hold the "back" button to lock and un-lock the screen and keypad.

yeah, pressing and holding the back button (under the jog dial) once from the today screen or twice from anywhere else will always lock the keypad. I don't use the autolock preferring to do it myself. Pressing and holding will unlock the keys.
Like you, I was initially dismayed that there were no hard buttons for the soft keys, and that the jog dial actions don't take focus through the soft keys, but it wasn't too long that I was at home one handedly pressing those soft keys, its not all that bad really

@bilbobaggins
For the recent call list press 0 key followed by the # key

Excellent. Thanks - I much prefer to switch keylock on and off myself manually too.
I'm sure I'll get used to using the soft buttons - eg. toggling silent mode on/off.
It's interesting becauseat the P910i was easier to use in flip closed mode which is why I never removed the flip. I was hoping that when they developed the M600i which is always in 'flip open' mode they would improve that mode. They have, but perhaps not quite as far as I'd hoped but a significant improvement over using the P910i in flip open mode.

You can also toggle silent mode on/off by pressing and holding the # key.

How did you all know these things? Did you read the manual?!!??
I just discovered by playing that the hash key held down toggles silent mode on and off.

sometimes it also helps if you're familiar with the non symbian phones
notice the similarity on the hash key of the M600 and K800, for example?
other K and T series etc were also able to be toggled in and out of silence with the hash key too

I was wondering how come the background wallpaper used to be animated in P910i but now M600i, it is a still picture and not animated. What a downgrade for the new symbian OS?

Pressing the 0 key followed by the # key brings up the recent call list in most sonyericssons (at least the ones I've seen) Symbian or non symbian.
