Hello everybody. I am from Argentina (so apologize my english jeje). I recently bought a W810 and I use macro mode when I want to take a picture of something which is really close. I would like to know if, for instance, I want to take a shot of a person from a distance of...lets say....five meters, would make any diference activating or not the macro mode? What would be the diference between a picture taken to an object to about five meters, with and without macro mode?
And about AF, what if I take the picture pressing the button the whole way down without waiting for the AF sound? Thanks.

From my experience, it doesn't make much difference. I've taken pictures with the subject many metres away not realising I'm still in macro mode on my W800i and it's focussed fine.
I've also taken a couple of quick pictures without waiting for the autofocus, and they seem to have come out fine, though they of course may have been in focus to start with.

I have read a review that it makes no difference but to me it did

Well if you press the shuter button before it gives you the sound, then you have a 50/50 chance of catching the object you want in focus. It basically acts like a fixed focus camera, so you can't guarantee whether or not the subject is in focus.
