Hi all
When I'm at work, I generally use my W800i as a MP3 player.
I find that I receive very few calls.
I want to conserve battery life.
I could switch my phone to flight mode but wondered if there was an app out there (or maybe could write

) that would switch from flightmode to normal mode lets say every hour?
The idea being that each hour, the phone would connect to the network and download any voicemail alerts or txts - it could stay in online mode for about 5 mins and then switch back again.
yeah, I'm being lazy but I thought it might be an interesting one for any budding developers out there
Cheers
Wayne

I don;t think that will save you the battery because each time you switch back you will have to reconnect to the network.
As long you don't recieve calls and you have a good network signal. You don't lose much battery life from being connected to the gsm.
And I don't think its possible to switch to run applications in flight mode so even if an application can put you to flight mode it won't be able to get you back to the fone mode.

How about creating a new profile that diverts ALL calls to voicemail, no noise/vibrations etc?
Depending on the operator, you should be contacted vis sms when someone leaves a voicemail. This way uninterupted listening.
