> K800 Flight mode for real?

SE say on their website for K800 that flight mode is a "Function that deactivates radio transmitters and receivers so that some functions can be used in places such as planes and hospitals."
Does "some functions" include camera, organiser and hopefully java
but from the sounds of it not bluetooth
Does anyone know what K800 functions are available in flight mode?

Well on the K800 (and i'm trying it right now), in flight mode you can't use:
Bluetooth
FM radio
GSM
GPRS
And you CAN use:
Music player
Video player
Games
Camera
Items in the "organizer" menu

Well it's bloody excellent news about flight mode then. I expected all radio transmissions would be disabled, but it looks like everything else is useable, so that's made my day.
Flight mode on the W800 you can use the camera by locking the phone when in flight mode, but only if you don't use the walkman. As soon as you use the walkman you have to restart the phone before you can use the camera in flight mode again!!

Looks like good news re the flight mode, but can't see the Air staff letting you use it lol! trying to explain to them your only using it as a mp3 player! I know they get quite funny with Blackberry users. would be interesting to hear if anyone is allowed to use theirs in this post? or they all get told to turn it off.. what are your views?

What airline gives grief, daryl4356? All the main flag carriers accept mobiles, and even Ryanair now allows you to use your phone in flight mode (either that, or they can't tell that it's a phone, having had about 3 hours of 'intensive' training). I use my Walkman all the time and haven't ever had a comment.
There's at least one airline that does allow the use of Bluetooth on board, and specifically mentioned it during the safety briefing. I wish I could remember (I'm tempted to guess SAS because they were one of the first to officially approve the use of anything with a flight mode but I don't think it was).
I can't see what you might want to use Bluetooth for in-flight (connect phone to laptop, to wireless headphones?) but considering handsets will soon be allowed with/without flight mode, roaming on an in-flight base station, this is all going to be irrelevant.
