Is there any way to delete hidden items on the phone to try to free up some memory. I have tried restoring the handset to the original settings, but the phone is still only showing 15mb of free phone memory, but I used to have about 28mb of free phone memory. I tried to install route 66 last week, but it didn't work, even then that was onto the memory card, which I have since formatted to remove all the route 66 stuff.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Maybe try find a file explorer and search through your phones memory and find out whats what. I would firstly look through the installed files list and delete whats not needed.
My N80 has 34mb free on the phone with only around 16mb used. If you tell me what you have checked on your phone to free some memory up i might be able to search through my phone and see if i can help.

Is yours a branded model? Mine is orange branded, well its only really locked. It has orange start-up and thats it. All together mine has 47mb of internal memory.

Thanks for the replies, I phoned Orange customer services regarding this problem. Guy I spoke to gave the impression that this was the first time he'd heard of a problem with an N80!!
I've now to wait on their technical department getting in touch and see what they suggest.

Just to update you, problem now solved. I held down * 3 and the green call button while the phone was switching on and this restarted the phone. Be warned though this will remove Quickoffice from the phone, and this will have to be downloaded from the nokia website. I now have 41mb of free memory!

I feel I should point out that this is a reset and all information stored on the phone- settings, bookmarks, apps etc. will be removed.
