> M600 - recognize phone numbers in tabs
Bookmark topic
Hello!
I want to now if the below feature available for windows mobile is available for M600:
"Your smartphone recognizes Web and e-mail addresses and even phone numbers outside of their usual context. For example, have you ever entered a phone number as part of an appointment in the Calendar application? That’s not where the smartphone would normally expect to find phone numbers, but it will still recognize them as such.
To call your appointment you don’t need to re-enter the number in the dialer. Simply use your smartphone’s navigation buttons to bring the focus to the number and press the select button. Windows Mobile will ask you to verify that the number is correct and will then dial it for you. Wasn’t that easy?
This feature works in any application where you can enter text, such as Tasks. Web addresses are automatically hotlinked. Selecting anything that looks like a valid Web address launches Internet Explorer and takes you directly to the Web site. This smart feature lets you enter phone numbers and Web site addresses wherever it’s convenient and logical for you."
Thank you!

@kata2006,
The m600 recognises tel numbers, web & email addresses in Tasks, Notes & Calendar applications & gives the corresponding options, but i'm not sure about third party applications because it doesn't work in Quickoffice. Hope this helps

Thank you, adhussain!
Right now I'm using a SPV C500 windows mobile phone, but I need and a touchscreen.
M600 sound good!
Do you now if local synchronisation keep the same text in the attached notes of task or calendar from Outlook and tabs of tasks or calendar entries in M600?

Fields that are available in the tasks application on the phone synchronise properly, these are :
information (subject in outlook)completed
priority
start date
due date
alarm
alarm time & date
folder
the text of the main body shows up in the notes tab in the phone.
The information in the outlook details tab does not show up.
For Calendar entries the fields available in the phone application get synchronised, these are:
Appointment (subject in outlook)
Start Date
End Date
Start Time
End Time
Location
Tentative
Alarm
Alarm time & date
repeat
attendees in the attendees tab
and the main text goes in the notes tabin the phone
The information in the outlook tracking tab does not show up.
Please note that I only use the basic functionality of tasks and calendar in both outlook and in the phone, sorry if I've missed out anything.
