I got a message today to update from messenger to messenger live...ok an update i will download it and install it.

Once installed my contact list appears with only 24 contacts...i had over 50......constant message saying connection error....uninstalled re installed....same problem.

spoke to what contacts i had left and they have all got the same problem.

Sometimes i sign in to 40 contacts sometimes 20 contaqcts sometimes only 2 ...every time i sign in it is different...c'mon microsoft what are you playing at???

Good idea but all my contacts use MSN Messenger.

use any form of messenger you have. (e.g windows messenger) see if your contacts are still there

Try reinstalling Live messenger, I gotta say, mines fine. Plus if you want to , MSN and Yahoo linked up so people from, both networks can talk to each other via Live messenger or Yahoo messenger. So whicheverf mate

I have uninstalled it and gone back to 7.5 and ALL my contacts are back.
