I use Xilisoft DVD to 3GP converter. I played around with the right settings for w800 and it did a great job. I converted the whole DVD in less an hour with great audio and no skipping video. I can share if anyone is interested as well as the settings.

The best one I have found is SUPER (Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer). It does MP4 and a whole load of formats (it will even recode WMV) and it's free
