Just wondering if anybody new the offical release date for this phone or a calculated rough guess at when it will be relased and its initial cost?

M600 is fairly settled and the media player works well and W950 is not so much different except the walkman features and flash drive
I see no reason for it to be delayed beyond the Q3 that was announced

nonesense. given that the M600i is a reduced functionality of the same basic platform, and given its initial problems even after release, and taking into account that the P990 is the flagship model for the company and therefore has a higher visibility with existing corporate P series users,
have definitly done the right thing.
but thats another story, this is about the W950 which has even less reason to be delayed past the next three months

When I was at the cinema and watched Pirates of the Caribbean 2 last week the girl (20+) in front of me had a fully working W950. It looked really nice and worked well so I see no reason for it to be delayed.

i have to agree with what has already been said and can see no reason for that what will be the 3rd phone running UIQ3 to not be released on schedule and if i don't get an M600i before the release will go for the W950 as that big flash drive will be awesome IMO and actually prefer the keypad on this unit as always use the touchscreen when possible.

I mean this is an out and out walkman phone, has no camera and has a wopping 4gb internal memory.
I was just wondering if this was the long awaiting answer to rival the ipod also. Just like a ipod, but touch sensative and enables calls.

Pity about the colour IMHO. It's the same shade os sickly purple my chest went when I fell asleep on the beach a few weeks back!
Why can't sony ericsson just make a proper coloured walkman phone? Sheesh!
