That is the same as the V800 one I found on the wap-page, right?

It's not the same. The one you linked to is a newer version and a bit different. In the V800 one you are closer to the earth and I don't think you can roll the globe up and down. Also the W810 one is a bit slower to move around, which in this case is a good thing as for it was very hard to select a city in the city-mode on my K800i. Which one you want is your choice. I like them both but as I said the W810 one is easier to maneuver on the K800i (for me at least).

There is also Worldmate and it is great. You have to pay for the subscription but it is worth it.

appologies for not looking closer than the name...

SE calls them both "3D World Clock" and do not list a version number so short of downloading them and testnig them in detail it would be hard to differentiate

anyway, if you have done so and prefer the W810 version then good for you

looking closely into the jar files I can now see that the W810 version is 2.0.7 whereas the V600 version is 1.0.4 and also the W810 is 168kb whereas the V600 version 114kb

since W810 and V600 have the same screen resolution you're onto a winner I guess!

There is a V600 version as well? Is the same as the V800 then?

And what do you mean with that about V600 and W810 having the same resolution? Clearly resolution doesn't matter much as the app runs fullscreen on my K800i.

EDIT: Did you mean the V800? As there are at least three versions:

V600 - WorldClock3D_W800_EU.jar (version 2.0.7)

V800 - WorldClock_V800.jar (version 1.0.4)

W810 - WorldClock3D_W810_EU.jar (version 2.0.7)

However the W800 and W810 ones are the same (crc-checked them), even though there are separate downloads for them for some reason.

anyway, at the end of this day you have a world clock you are happier with so there is something positive to take from this thread I guess that is the reason why many games don't run fullscreen on my phone, as they are K750 etc. games.

There sure is something possitive to take from this thread.

clearly I meant V800 as that was what you were talking about

and resolution does matter because java apps that are not written well do not always fit different resolutions.

one example I have seen mentioned here recently is the face warp application where people cannot find the version for their specific model and have tried other version which dont give full screen. Its also the case with many non SE applications too

here is another example of an application that does matter about resolution. Although the W810 World Clock works fine in full resolution on K800, the W810 converter works fine but not at full resolution in the menu on the K800

anyway, at the end of this day you have a world clock you are happier with so there is something positive to take from this thread
